The focus of this service package is to facilitate the rapid deployment of your Sybase IQ environment—through the use of best practices—resulting in a robust setup equipped to withstand the rigors of a typical enterprise class infrastructure. Sybase consultants will prepare your organization for an end-to-end implementation by outlining a high-level project plan to scope the application, data and query components of your system design for the future.
High-level Activities
- Install and configure Sybase IQ based on the hardware, operating system and disk subsystem. This includes the conversion to a multiplex configuration (up to two nodes)
- Assist with the deployment of various client APIs and the utilities that are used with Sybase IQ.
- Set up the development environment and identify the scripts required to manage administrative tasks such as database backup and recovery, troubleshooting and basic monitoring of server status.
- Prepare a high-level project plan outlining tasks corresponding to the complete roll-out of the Sybase IQ data store.
